Welcome to One Incredible Family – 60 years of evolving together
Strengthening CommUnity is the core impulse for what has now become an exciting community
endeavour: Celebrating One Incredible Family in all its aspects.
Members who have lived at Findhorn and built this Community often feel like family, One
Incredible Family. Contemporary groups of members have formed generations within this
family, each offering a distinct contribution to the evolution of this Centre of Light.
It’s named after a much loved song “One Incredible Family” by Hans Poulsen which the New
Troubadours (a community choir) made famous in the 1970s.
There are 2 main projects that we are currently focusing on.
• 2022 – Our Year of Celebrations
• Community History Project
In May 2021, Leona Graham, Liza Hollingshead and Cornelia Featherstone met to tune into
ways of contributing to this CommUnity at a time when we are faced with the aftermath of the
devastating fires at The Park and the fractures the pandemic had brought to our Community and
the world we live in.
We also brought with us the inspiration and strength we feel in the emerging global network as
represented by so many new connections being made throughout the pandemic, online
meditations, online Taizé and the Findhorn Extended Members Council, to name but a few.
Since then, the team has grown. An inspiring collaboration between the NFA and the Findhorn
Foundation holds several working groups to deliver the many events and projects.
As there is so much happening, we will keep you informed as we go along:
