Some background of me – I am trained in counselling and hypnotherapy, am a musician, photographer and have an extensive background in IT and design. I lived in the Glastonbury community from 1983-2011 and among other things I was involved in editing a community magazine, which brought me to the centre of activities and which sparked a deep interest in evolving collaborative community, which I bring with me today.
New Story Summit – I came to Findhorn a little over a year ago in 2014 primarily because of a deep interest in the New Story Summit which was closely aligned with a project that I have been developing called the Good Ideas Network Initiative (GINI). After doing Experience Week and some service programs I then spent five months volunteering in the Foundation – in Park Homecare – and also volunteered for the NSS base camp which brought me into contact with the NFA and in particular, Dürten. We had many discussions in and around the NSS and how the emerging ideas would affect the community and went on to work together in Community meetings.
What will I bring to the NFA Council? – My ability to listen and facilitate, and a deep commitment to problem solving and finding solutions brought about my own project, GINI, and also the project Engage (which I am proposing to the Gather-in process). By joining, I would bring that same enthusiasm and commitment to the current needs of the NFA council to grow and expand and develop new ways of moving forward.
